Supporting the Shepherd

Richard is our church elder and serves as executive administrator of the ministry. Working in close collaboration, he supports the pastor, retired founder and fellow leadership. He is at the helm when our pastor is away, carrying on the mission of bringing souls to Christ. A former educator and behavioral health professional, Elder Bradner also oversees the youth ministry as advisor!

Deacons are often called the pillars of the pastor, uplifting them and easing the burden. With dedicated service to the ministry (he travels from the Tidewater region!), Army veteran James does just that.

Not only is Travis a pillar to the pastor, he is a pillar of the community. Coach Trav is a loving husband and father of five, Army National Guard veteran and mentor. What a roster! You can find him at Hargrave Military Academy or on the road coaching youth leagues, but we'd love if you visit him at NLKMC!

Deacon Melvin is always willing to jump in and lend a hand of support wherever he can. He is our longest tenured deacon and still on fire for the Lord. He stays ready with a good word and a great story to share the goodness of Jesus. Come see for yourself!

I'm Jasmine, the church admin. I put my hands and heart to a little of everything at NLKMC to keep operations smooth. I live by 2 Thessalonians 1:11, From the finance office to the fellowship hall, you might find me anywhere, but I'd love to find you in the seat next to mine!

Ushers have an important role in the body of Christ: they're likely the first person you meet when you visit a church. Lillie leads the team to make sure you have a warm welcome and a wonderful experience with every trip to New Life Kingdom Ministry Church. P.S. She has another important role: supporting her husband, Deacon James!

Nikkia leads the efforts of beautifying the edifice. From interior design to decorating the fellowship hall, her touch brings a breath of fresh air to our house of worship. She's also the wife of Deacon Travis and a busy super mom of five! Come visit us to experience her gift in person, pictures don't do it justice!

Vernice's friendly spirit and sweet smile are a warm welcome to anyone considering their next move in Christ. She will guide you through the journey, giving you the tools to make that step. She'll even help you get ready on that special day. Vernice is the wife of Deacon Melvin; come see them for a double dose of spiritual encouragement! You're never alone, we're better together.

While Jennifer serves as the vice president of the usher board, she's also in charge of another important welcome: the grounds, procurement, and sanitation. As president of housekeeping, she ensures a pristine place to worship. They say cleanliness is next to godliness; Jen and her team help keep the church in tip top shape!

Jessica is the new head of the culinary department. Our hearts are filled in the sanctuary, but it's our stomach's turn in the fellowship hall! Feeding a crowd can be a tall order but Jessica always rises to the challenge exceeding all expectation. This Army veteran leads her team to prepare, coordinate and serve mouthwatering cuisine. Our compliments to the chefs!

As announcement secretary, Bridgit stays in close contact with our pastor and leading lady. Spreading the latest news to our congregation and beyond, she's sure to make you feel welcome just as she does in service as an usher board vice president. On Youth Sundays, she also prepares one of our youth to deliver the announcements in her stead. Train up a child indeed!

Prior to the merger, Gina led the youth of Kingdom Ministry. Joining forces with her counterpart, our expanded youth group is better than ever. Did you know? She also writes beautiful poetry! Gina leads with a calm and grace that is sure to inspire the youth. Come visit us on Fourth Sundays to see her in action!

You'll often find her directing the youth in a choir (it's okay if you forget the words, she's got you!). Renee leads with an exuberance and warmth that is contagious and sure to inspire the youth.
